This page links to a William Gunter in Florida who is not the same William Adams Gunter for whom Gunter Air Force is named. William Adams Gunter (Mayor of Montgomery until his death in 1940) always lived in Alabama and except for one term remained Mayor in Montgomery from approximately 1910 until 1940.
