Talk:Gunbarrel Highway
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I see there is a very good article on the Gunbarrel Highway at the wikitravel web page at wikitravel.org/en/Gunbarrel_Highway. Should these articles be combined? Or would a link suffice? Or even a redirect? What's the procedure regarding similar stories on different wiki projects? Gazjo 04:32, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- Good spotting. While I am not a Wiki policy wonk, I can say that as the photos used on the wikitravel page should be GNU, (and should be on WikiCommons) then we can safely include them in the article. We can use the information in the wikitravel article although as the wikitravel article is focussed on how to travel the Gunbarrel, some editing could help the wikipedia article include bigger sections on the history and current use of the Gunbarrel. I hope this is clear. Cheers --Roisterer 05:40, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- I added a bit on the history and a link to wikitravel. I'm sure it can be improved upon though. Gazjo 07:03, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
- Good start. If you don't want to add a picture from the Wikitravel page (which should be GNU - Free Use), I can do that when I have a moment. Other than that I might try to link a few more words and see who else wants to edit. --Roisterer 13:18, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
