Gunnhild

Gunnhild or Gunnhildr (Battle-maiden) is an Old Norse name belonging to several people from the history of Scandinavia:
- Gunnhild Mother of Kings, wife of Erik Bloodaxe.
- Gunnhild Haraldsdottir, sister of Svein Forkbeard, married Pallig, Jarl and Ealdorman in Devon. They both died in the St. Brice's Day massacre in November 1002.
- Sigrid the Haughty, who was sometimes referred to as Gunnhild or Gunnhilda.
