Gunnar Lund

Nils Gunnar Wiggo Lund, born July 23th 1947. Swedish diplomat and politician. Married to Kari Lotsberg. Three children: Gustav (born 1984) Harald (1987) and Ingrid (1990).

Gunnar Lund did his military service as an interpreter in Uppsala and was educated in Russian. Graduated from Stockholm and Uppsala University with a Bachleer's degree in political economics, political science and Russian in 1971. Master's degree in political economics and international law Columbia University in 1972.

Served as a diplomat in Paris and Copenhagen.

From 2002 until 2004 he served as a minister in the Swedish cabinet.

Since 2004 he is the Swedish ambassador to the United States, see House of Sweden. From the fall of 2007 he will serve as the Swedish ambassador to France
