Gummite

Gummite is a yellow amorphous mineral, a mixture of uranium minerals, oxides, silicates, hydrates and hydrous oxides of uranium, derived from the alteration of uraninite. It is named for its gum-like consistance.
The mineral was also known under various names, mostly because of different origins of the samples, now identified as one
- Eliasite, from Elias, the name of a mine at Jáchymov, (Joachimsthal).
- Coracite, a variety from Lake Superior
- Pittinite
- Pechuran
- Urangummit
- Uranogummite
