The gulf torpedo or marbled electric ray (Torpedo sinuspersici) is a species of fish in the Torpedinidae family. It is found in Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, India, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Madagascar, Mozambique, Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sudan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, and possibly Somalia. Its natural habitats are open seas and coral reefs. It is threatened by habitat loss.
