The Gulf crayfish snake (Regina rigida sinicola) is a non-venomous snake averaging 20 inches when fully grown, with a record of 31.5 inches (80 cm). Its color is best described as chocolate brown. The species feeds almost entirely on crayfish.
A close relative of the gulf crayfish snake is the glossy crayfish snake (Regina rigida rigida).
