Gul Hameed Khan Rokhri

Gul Hameed Khan Rokhri, is a Pakistani politician. He belongs to the Niazi tribe. Although he now lives in Lahore he often visits his hometown Mianwali.
He is the District President of the Pakistan Muslim League. He is the son of Ghulam Haider Khan Niazi of Rokhri and is the nephew of Amir Abdullah Khan Rokhri.
Gul Hameed Khan Rokhri has served previously as the Vice Chairman District Council of Mianwali from 1965-69 and was the Chairman from 1983-87. He has been elected to the Provincial Assembly three times previously and was elected as an MNA in the elections of 1990. He also functioned as Advisor to Chief Minister during 1986-88 and as Minister for Food, Punjab during 1989-90.
In the 2002 general elections, Gul Hameed Khan Rokhri won on two seats - PP44, PP45. He vacated PP44 and retained PP45. He was later made the Revenue, Relief & Consolidations Minister. . His son, Humair Hayat Khan Niazi/Rokhri is a former District Nazim of Mianwali and a current Member of National of Assembly. His cousin Aamir Hayat Khan Niazi/Rokhri is an MPA Asghar Khan Rokhri is the Town Nazim of Rokhri, Mianwali. The son-in-law of Gul Hameed Khan Rokhri is Chaudhry Shafaat Hussain who is the District Nazim of Gujrat.
