The Guinea Snout-burrower (Hemisus guineensis) is a species of frog in the Hemisotidae family. It is found in Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, possibly Botswana, possibly Burundi, possibly Central African Republic, possibly Gambia, possibly Malawi, possibly Namibia, possibly Niger, possibly Rwanda, possibly Sudan, and possibly Togo. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, dry savanna, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, intermittent freshwater marshes, heavily degraded former forest, ponds, and canals and ditches.
