Guimo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Guimo is a Brazilian platform game for DOS. It was created by a Brazilian game company formerly known as Jack in The Box Computing (now called Southlogic Studios) and published in Brazil by Cia do Software. It was launched in Brazil and in Europe, not getting much attention. In the company founder, Christian Lykawka's words, "It was a small project, that gave us more knowledge of how to make games, rather than monetary profit.". Nowadays, it's not being sold anymore, but nevertheless, most of the people who own the game say it is a very good game.

[edit] Story

In the Paithon system, there is a parallel universe, called the Beta Universe. Most of the inhabitants of a planet of the Beta Universe, Bitland, are known by the human earthlings as the characters of electronic games. But something very bad happened in Bitland. An entity called Necterion is mixing Bitland with the Earth, causing chaos everywhere. The only thing that can stop Necterion is Guimo, a young lizard soldier from Bitland. Now he has to break through the stages of the game and defeat Necterion once for all.

[edit] Gameplay

At first glance, Guimo plays the same way other platform games do. Jump around and shoot the enemies. But Guimo has lots of weapons to play with, and his enemies also have a very good Artificial intelligence, ordering allies to come fight Guimo once they've seen him, and the alikes.
