Guilford, Maryland

Guilford is a community located in Howard County in the State of Maryland in the United States of America. Formerly a small railroad stop, it now lies within the boundaries of Columbia. (Coordinates: 39°10′11″N, 76°49′51″W.)

For United States Census Bureau statistics, it is included within the Census-designated place of Savage-Guilford, Maryland. See also: Savage, Maryland.

Guilford was the location of granite quarries active from the mid-19th century to the early 20th century. Guilford granite was used for buildings and streets in Baltimore and other Maryland towns.
