During the 2008-09 season, the Guildford Flames will participate in the semi-professional English Premier Ice Hockey League. It will be the 17th year of Ice Hockey played by the Guildford Flames and the second season under Paul Dixon as head coach.

  • 23rd April: Guildford Flames forward Jozef Kohut, the club's 4th all time leading goal scorer, rejected an offer to re-join the club and ended his five-year stay at the Spectrum based outfit. During his spell at the club the 6'1" 210lb skater iced in just under 250 games, tallying 188 goals and 343 points putting him 10th on the club's all time points chart. In addition to the playoff title during his inaugural campaign at Spectrum, Kohut starred in the Flames EPL title success of 05-06 and 07-08 and he also won the 06-07 Premier Cup.
