Guiffy SureMerge is an advanced commercial cross-platform File compare Diff tool, Folder compare, and 3-way auto-merge tool all-in-one. As a file compare diff tool, Guiffy can be used to compare source files of any type such as Unicode-8, Unicode-16, MBCS, SJIS, Big5,etc..

Compare files side-by-side - highlight the differences within the line.
Compare views can be saved as reports (in HTML).

Expand a subfolder..., Double-click on a file in Guiffy's Folder Compare..., and a File Compare view is quickly generated in another window.

The Folder Compare interface includes popup menus for file synchronization (Copy, Delete, Rename, etc.) operations.
With a recursive compare option - folder compare can do a file tree compare.

Guiffy SureMerge was developed by Bill Ritcher and first released in 2000. The Guiffy product is a Pure Java application with a Swing GUI, available on all Java-enabled platforms including: Windows, Mac OS, Linux, and Unix.

Since 2003 Seapine Software has licensed Guiffy SureMerge --- it's the diff and merge built into the Surround SCM product. Other licensed partners include Visible Systems, CA: Wily Tech, e-Spirit and Juniper Networks.

The Guiffy Software product includes GUI applications and non-GUI applications - both with complete command line interfaces for integrations with other toolsets. And, for seamless integrations, the Guiffy software product set includes a Java API diff/merge library package.

Guiffy Software, Inc., originally founded in Escondido, CA, relocated to the St. Louis area (Festus / Crystal City, MO) in August of 2005.

In 2006, Guiffy SureMerge was awarded a 16th annual Jolt Productivity Award in recognition of its advanced trustworthy 3-way auto merge solution.
