[edit] Changes to Evolution
Hi Guettarda, you voiced some concerns here about these changes I made to the evolution article. Unfortunately, discussion of this was interrupted by Scorpion man; I'm now trying to solicit more comments here. Thanks! 155.232.250.51 19:58, 14 February 2006 (UTC) (for some reason I was logged out there, sorry... it was Mikker ... 19:59, 14 February 2006 (UTC))
[edit] No apology needed
Hey, Guettarda. It's good to be back. Look, the fault is not with you at all, sir. Sometimes, especially when I'm not under the influence of my amphetamines, I can become rather over-zealous about my convictions, and also extremely irritable as well. Whether or not our agendas are in conflict with each other, I made the mistake of personally attacking you. Please forgive my impudence. Wikipedia should be a place for healthy acadamiĆ”, to produce articles of the highest quality possible. I'm not concerned anymore with fighting anyone - just here to learn, and write! Should you ever feel the need to correct me on anything, please don't hesitate. I assure you that my willingness to learn is greater than ever and I will welcome any criticism. Thanks again for your patience, friend. Regards, Salva 19:12, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hi, I guess you weren't paying careful attention on AN/I
But we do not spam the wiki with people's personal info. Seriously no. So I'm sorry to ruin all your hard work, but we're going to need to speedy.
I'll assume good faith for now, and that you missed that part of the AN/I discussion.
Please do not spam the information in question further. I don't care what policy pages say that you may do it. I am now telling you that you should not, or you will be disrupting wikipedia to prove a point.

- Huh? Please suggest some alternatives for dispute resolution then. Guettarda 15:32, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

- Slimvirgin is supposed to be mediating here. Please contact her. Kim Bruning 15:36, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

- No Kim. You are the one who insisted that the RFC must be deleted. I was following the advice of other editors who said to escalate if she continues to edit the article, which she has done. In addition, if you would, please help me to understand how it is that I am supposed to achieve an outcome with someone who posts false statements about me which she refuses to retract, who then calls my statements false accusations, and then deletes my further attempts to resolve the issue as "trolling". - By talking to her through a mediator. You say she's been editing the page again? Hmm, what edits did she do, can you dig up a diff for me in a pinch? Let's see what's she's changing, if it's not reasonable, let's go over to her and ask her to stop for now, at least. If it is reasonable, well, I'll go ask if she could maybe take it easy anyway, 'cause people are still a tad touchy:-) Kim Bruning 16:14, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

- I don't understand the Rfc. I think you are playing with fire! Did you see my posts with AA on her user talk page? (from 12 hours ago) She agreed to work with Slimvirgin. Why go this route? It is so disruptive! I've had my say. Shaking my head and walking away... FloNight talk 16:14, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

- Hmm, in other news, could you tell me which other editors you talked with? They may not have given you the best advice, and I'd like to know who would do such a thing. Kim Bruning 16:32, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:Evolution
Hi Guettarda, sorry about that!! I didn't mean to delete your paragraph... I don't quite know what happened but something odd's up with Template:unsigned - unless I'm totally imagining it, it's deleting stuff when it's used. (it deleted an entry of mine when I added unsign for Spintronic - see [2]). Sorry again... Mikker ... 21:58, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- :)~ don't worry your Afrikaner comment made me laugh! We Afrikaners are dodgy no doubt! Oh ok, now I understand what happened... thought the software was messing with me! Anyhow, I prob need some sleep so as to not mess up more stuff! Mikker ... 22:09, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- Playing safe is usually a good idea but with me it's not necessary. I'm a particularly disillusioned Afrikaner who feels ashamed of what my ancestors (not to mention my parents & grandparents!) did so I take no umbrage at Afrikaner jokes, not to worry. (In fact, I'm usually the one telling them!). As for seeing SA, you really should - tis a great country. We're somewhat xenophobic and racism is still a problem, but things are getting better. (or so I think most days of the week). Mikker ... 22:30, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Chess piece
Thanks for the explanation about the missing edits from Talk:Jonathan Sarfati. The message from Zooky isn't on the talk page or history where I'd have expected it, but it may have got lost. This morning there seemed to be no history after 2 February, and clicking on the previous date at the top of the old page I still had open to see the previous page of 16 Feb brought up "The database did not find the text of a page that it should have found, named "Talk:Jonathan Sarfati,oldid=39918659", but doing this now brought up the expected page, and the history has returned to normal, so it strikes me that this may have been a hangover from server problems. Trust everything else will be resolved as smoothly. ...dave souza, talk 16:27, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Still building the RFAr
I was waiting for input from Sannse before going ahead. She could have said I was being silly or so, and it'd have been deleted. Anyway, I guess we're good to go :-)
So yes. Opened an emergency injunction request here: Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration#Req._Emergency_injunction_on_posting_personal_info.

- And I just noted you were wondering about alternate dispute resolution. I think I'd pointing out that Slimvirgin was being a mediator here?
- Note that in this case all we need is for the arbcom to rule "stop doing that one thing" , at which point we're fine, and can continue mediation. I'm not requesting they dig out the case and all. Unless folks want to start a drawn out fight there, of course, that would suck. Kim Bruning 18:24, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- Oh hmm, you were already present at Talk:Jonathan_Sarfati/dispute, you should have known this. Kim Bruning 18:29, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
