[edit] Twilight Festival
Hello, I noticed you removed the categories "Festivals in the United States" and "Festivals" from the Twilight Festival page. Why do you think the page doesn't belong in these categories? It's a festival and it's in the United States. Me5000 (talk) 00:28, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- Twilight Festival is a festival in Missouri. That is the correct category it should be in. The "Festivals in Missouri" category falls under "Festivals in the United States." Which falls under "festivals." Therefore, the article doesn't need to be in all three categories. If we put every festival in every state and every country into the "Festival" category, it would be completely useless to help people find anything. Make sense? [edit] Removal of Alternative energy category from Plug Power
I just noticed that you removed the Alternative energy category from Plug Power, could you explain the reasoning for this. They design and manufacture fuel cells, which is listed as an alternative energy. Onlynone (talk) 16:55, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Plug Power is already in the fuel cell category...which is in the alternative energy category. So it's redundant to put the article in both. If we put every fuel cell manufacturer and every wind turbine manufacturer and every solar cell manufacturer under alternative energy, the category would be useless for helping people find anything. Make sense? --Gueneverey (talk) 01:06, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
-
- Thank you for your response, I can see the alternative energy category holds higher level articles. While looking at the category I also noticed that there are two user subpages (User:Anthony717/sandbox, and User:Meco/Advanced_Energy_Research_Organization) that are in the alternative energy category. The first looks to be a copy of Wave power at some point in the past, and the second looks like a work in progress for a new article. Do you think they should be removed from this (and other) categories as well? Onlynone (talk) 19:52, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
-
-
- Yeah, I'm not sure what to do with those articles. The first one especially seems unnecessary. Maybe ask those guys what's up? Also, maybe you noticed somebody removed Plug Power from the fuel cell category yesterday, because that cat's apparently only for types of fuel cells. So I took the liberty of creating a new category of "Fuel cell manufacturers," and hopefully this darn article is really in the right place now. =) --Gueneverey (talk) 00:35, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Apocalyptica site
As much as I'd love to have this site added, as I agree it is a useful site, it is unfortunately against Wikipedia policy to list fansites, which I think would include the second link - seems a shame though, as I have to admit it does contain a fair amount of information. ≈ The Haunted Angel 20:50, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:No. 1 (yacht)
Would you be so kind as to offer a third opinion on the (rather trivial) dispute here? Thanks, Jfire (talk) 08:00, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Oops, looks like I'm a bit late for the debate...it seems you got everything sorted out. Or are you still looking for another opinion about Ballard? Either way, I'll keep a watch on the article in case you have issues in the future. --Gueneverey (talk) 18:21, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks!
Thank you for pointing that out to me.
