[edit] Svanhild and Sigmund
- Why is no mention made of Svanhild's twin brother Sigmund. There were two Sigmund's. Sigmund Volsungson and Sigmund Sigurdson.
Volsung and Hjordis had Sigmund and Signy (and 9 other sons). Gudrun and Sigmund's son Sigurd are the parents of twins Sigmund and Svanhild. This is mentioned in the poetic Edda.
