Guduvancheri is suburb of Chennai, the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu in South India. It is situated 35 km from Chennai between Tambaram and Chengalpattu. The pincode for Guduvancheri is 603202.

Guduvancheri has a railway station, bus stand, government hospital, telephone exchange, electricity office, police station and higher secondary schools.

Guduvancheri is a hub for towns like Adanur, Padappai, Medavakkam, Karanai, Nellikuppam, Thailavaram, Thiruporur and Vellancheri. It is located on High Way (NH 45) connecting Chennai to the southern cities of Madurai, Trichy and Coimbatore.

Guduvancheri is the last stops for the Chennai Metro Bus Service. Most of the long route Metro buses start from Guduvancheri, like Guduvancheri to Chennai Parrys, Chennai Highcourt and T. Nagar.

Guduvancheri houses more than 20 temples(Nantheeshwarar Temple , Mamarathu (Mango tree) Pillayar Temple , Neethe vinayagar Temple, Srinivasa Perumal Temple, Muthumariamman Temple, Puthupalayathu Amman temple and a lot of Power full Amman temples), 15 marriage halls and 1 cinema hall. Nandeeswarar temple is one of the historical temple of Guduvancheri. The panchayat town of Guduvancheri is named as Nandivaram-Guduvancheri.
