Gudlavalleru Engineering College is located at Gudlavalleru, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India. Gudlavalleru is located on Gudivada-Machilipatnam route, well connected by road and rail to Vijayawada (55 km), Machilipatnam (26 km) and Gudivada (8 km). Gudlavalleru was also awarded as one of the best panchayats in India. Gudlavalleru is a village according to the geographic location. But is has all qualities more than a town & equal to a city. It has various educational institutions, where one can get kindergarten to 12th (inter), general degree to technical and even master degree programs. Its has feed mixing plant, Milk chilling centre, Government Hospital, Government elementary school, high school and degree college, Rice mills, Banks and many temples. Lions club of Gudlavalleru is playing a vital role in developing the county in lot many ways.

[edit] Genesis and growth of the college

The society was established on 31st March 1981, mainly with the efforts of late Sri Adusumilli Aswardha Narayana Murthy and Sri Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao with the main objective of establishing, aiding and maintaining technical, engineering and general educational institutions. In 1981, the society established Adusumilli Aswardha Narayana Murthy and Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshdri Rao Polytechnic with an intake of 180 students following four branches of study. Today the college has a built up area of about 2,50,000 sq.ft.


Gudlavalleru Engineering College started with four conventional disciplines in 1998. It presently offers 5 programmes in the undergraduate courses.

Since the college took shape, Sri Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao continuously strived to place it in among the best engineering colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The college got 75% placements in the during 2003-2006.

Its reputation as a pace-setter among the other institutions of engineering and Technology under Private Management is due to the manner in which it had built up its infrastructure and fashioned its curricular activities

There is a conscious effort to promote greenery and the sprawling campus of GEC amidst such serene environment is highly conducive for academic pursuit.

There are labs and computer centers within all the blocks of the college. The well stocked Library and Information Center, Sports and indoor and outdoor games are amongst the many facilities which the students avail.


Today, the polytechnic has an intake of 620 students and is the first choice of many students seeking admission in private polytechnics through CEEP. Mr. Ch. Venkata Ramanna, former principal is one of the back bone for the college, who maintained the institution well disciplined and brought this gold era for the college.

Later in 1988, a sister institution was born. It was named as A.A.N.M & V.V.R.S.R. English Medium Public School. Now it has from Kindergarten to 10th class. Its first outcoming batch of 10th class was in 1996, from when started its own brand name for its quality of education. This school has good outstanding students and who are professionally well settled in various organizations not only in India, but also abroad. Mr. N.Srinivasa Murthy, is the principal of the school.


Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE):40, Mechanical Engineering(ME):60, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE):40, Computer Science & Engineering(CSE):40.

Since inception it has been growing steadily and in the academic year 2004-2005, it has risen to start Post Graduate courses (MCA programme and full time M.Tech program in Digital Electronics and Communication Systems).
