[edit] Nicknames

Although both celeste and azul are translatable as blue, they are very different colours, and to the Spanish mind are no more shades of the same colour than are red and orange to an English speaker, so it seems most improbable that the same team has two almost contradictory nicknames. Anyone able to clarify? Kevin McE 00:19, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

I would agree with you, they are two different colors, even if they belong to the same gamma. La Azul y Blanco nickname has always been used in Guatemala. La celeste y blanco has to be, if ever, rarely used (I personally don't remember ever hearing it when properly referring to the national team). I say feel free to remove the latter. --ChaChaFut 02:41, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
