[edit] "To Be a King"

Does anyone have any verification of the title of the upcoming eleventh book in the series? Amazon has no listing. JaredW! 12:00, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

I think the book is quite intresting, if you ask me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Duchess Elisabeth (talkcontribs) 23:23, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

In the back of "The First Collier", there is a picture and a summary of the eleventh book, confirming the title name.

Also, if you go here you can see it. -- Pejmany

[edit] POV and Copyvio

Some one has been going through the books listed on this page and creating very POV articles which look like potential copyright violations. I have never heard of these books, but if someone who is a fan can clear them up, it would be a good idea--Jackyd101 02:02, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

I run The Great Ga'Hoole Tree, a Guardians fansite, and I've read through this entire article. Everything is correct, except for a few misspellings.

The summaries aren't copyrighted as far as I know, the "Here is the extraordinary summary of this amazing book" is POV and I'll change that. --Fantasylover12 19:45, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Movie

I hope it's coming soon! Sasuke Uchica 13:59, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

I've got a really slow connection, so if anyone finds anything else about the movie, could you post it? Who's starring, pics, any thing! I'm dieing to know-(Nyctra 23:12, 13 June 2007 (UTC))

It is about the first three books, and the author, Kathryn Lasky, is the director. She also hopes that this will not be the only GoG movie.

[edit] Kielian Snakes

Do they exist? Dora Nichov 07:02, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

In real life? Crowstar 11:05, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Yeah. I think they don't... Dora Nichov 11:24, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Possible Move

It has long been a position on Wikipedia that slashes should not be used in article titles; because of this, I believe that all the subpages of this article relating to books in this series, such as Ga'hoole/The_Journey should be moved to their own articles without slashes. If there are no objections to this by September 17, I will make the move. Quaerere 23:56, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

I agree, but why haven't you moved it yet?
KINGALEX56 CONTRIBUTES TO WIKIPEDIA! 20:02, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
I and other editor moved the actual articles, such that the article titles with slashes are merely redirects. If you want to bypass these redirects in articles that refer to them, feel free when you edit the article next. — TKD::Talk 20:07, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Getting Rid Of Fan Links

Why did the links have to be deleted. Some ga'hoole fans really want their fansites to be promoted and this is a great way. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bettyfizzw (talkcontribs) 19:25, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

That is precisely what we're not here to do. --AbsolutDan (talk) 23:31, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm sorry I don't understand all of wikipedia's ways yet, but are you guys going to put em back? - Bettyfizzw
Nope. For highly popular bands that have many fansites, a link to one major site might be appropriate. Otherwise, "fanlistings are generally not informative and should not ordinarily be included." See WP:EL for more details on external links. --AbsolutDan (talk) 14:44, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

I think that fan links should be allowed, even if they are not informative. Fans might want to have fun with others who also like the series, not just get all the somewhat boring information.

[edit] The River Of Wind

Can someone give an actual link to the scholastic page where The River Of Wind info is found. Thanks! -Bettyfizzw

[edit] Crystal-ballism

I've removed some unsourced speculation per WP:NOT a crystal ball. If it can be properly sourced please feel free to re-add it. --AbsolutDan (talk) 15:36, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Such as what? If you're reffering to the movie, Kathryn Lasky's Faq page confirms that.Supernerd 10 22:44, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

What are we talking about? I'm confused! Will someone please tell me what Crystal-ballism is!!!!!!!

[edit] "Complete Rewrite?"

Does anyone support a complete rewrite of this article and possibly some of the relating ones on the basis that: a) It is not in the tone expected of an encyclopaedia b) It is not neutral and c) Needs to be wikified It appears rather messy right now and I believe that it needs a complete rewrite that deals with the above said issues. Any opinions?Yuanchosaan 10:11, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

If no one objects then I shall begin revision of this article in one week's time(2/12/06). Yuanchosaan 09:37, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Major Cleanup Is Now Complete! I have rewritten this article as it would've been in a real encyclopedia. All the necessary information was left and the unneccessary deleted. I have tidied up and organized this article in the best possible of ways, so it was not messy as before. Unfortunately, I, probably like many others, have felt that The Characters and the Owl Words information was unneccessary, and clogged up the whole article. Therefore it was deleted. Organization is priority number one, and it has been achieved by me. I hope you enjoy the newer, better version of this article. If you have any dislikes, questions, comments or concerns, please, immediately post them on my talk page. I will be glad to answer. Thank you! Bookwormreader 02:50, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Thank you very, very much for that clean up. I'll just add an infobox to this article. Yuanchosaan 06:00, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

I think that the charactor and owl words information should be returned, into a new, separate article if needed. (Guardians of Ga'Hoole Information, perhaps?) Fans might be loking for some clarification on those subjects.

[edit] Spoiler Warning

Does anyone else feel that it would be appropriate to add a spoiler warning before the plot synopsis? I mean, you're revealing some pretty significant details, and I feel that a small warning is in order. Anyone object to this? Kadeas 02:23, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

I thought the plot synopsis was fairly long too, and excessively detailed. Miss Innocent 11:26, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Terms

Just as Warriors has a page with all the terms, we should have a page with all the terms and whatnot. I came here looking for the terms for an RP, but I was disappointed. CrowstarVaseline-on-the-lens-Jitsu!fwends! 12:18, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Okay, unless anyone objects, I'll start researching for it... CrowstarVaseline-on-the-lens-Jitsu!fwends! 16:35, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Character list

I think a list of characters in Ga'Hoole would be better then having articles for each of the main characters. If anyone thinks this is a good idea, then I'll start. Shrewpelt 17:06, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

A number of the character articles are up for AfD here, as they aren't meeting the requirements of WP:FICTION (or WP:Notability). If anyone wants the articles saved, it would be a very good idea to start a single article on the characters, which will make the closing admin more likely to merge than delete. (The other option would be a massive rewrite of all the character articles showing real world notability). --Fabrictramp (talk) 21:24, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 2007

I doubt it. I know that I was the one who first put it there, but it seems impossible now, especially with the promise of special effects like the Narnia movie (the 2005 one, not that awful BBC one.)--Supernerd 10 23:02, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I doubt it too. But I think it's going to be made in total CGI...I don't think it will come out for another year--possibly two. But hey, I don't know what kind of things they're doing. I wonder what the Great Tree will look like...? (Nyctra 18:47, 1 September 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Primrose

Did she die in 'The Shattering?' I have only read the first six books, and i cant seem to find any others. 99.224.35.55 01:15, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

No, she appears in the 13th bookGlobetrotterUltima (talk) 14:36, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Exile

Hello, how come there is no wiki page for exile????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.135.118.55 (talk) 03:34, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

It was deleted for not meeting the criteria set out in WP:Notability (books). Pairadox (talk) 03:44, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Books 16-18

Can anyone give me a source to those titles or even the fact that there will be books 16-18? Bettyfizzw1 (talk) 18:58, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

There might not be an 18, currently Kathryn Lasky is to release the 15th book, (There are rumours it is the last). Click androo123 Androo123 (talk) 02:31, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] GOG Universe

Would it be correct to say that the GOG Universe is based on the former Soviet Union? GlobetrotterUltima (talk) 14:43, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The RIver of Wind Article

Why is there an article for every book in the series except The River of Wind? Shouldn't it have one, too? Mollymoon (talk) 13:55, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
