Guanaceví

Guanaceví is a town located in the northwest of the Mexican state of Durango. It has a population of 3,500.[citation needed] It serves as the municipal seat of the municipality of Guanaceví, which in the 2005 Census had a population of 10,224 [1] between the headtown and 146 other settlements; down from the 11,447 reported in the 1995 Census. It is filled with mines that contain many minerals like gold, silver, and brass. It has many food traditions that contain sopes, enchiladas, chapaneco, tezhuino, queso, etc.
