Gualtieri is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 70 km northwest of Bologna and about 20 km north of Reggio Emilia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,438 and an area of 36.1 km².[1]
The municipality of Gualtieri contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bigliana, Bigliardi, Canossa, Livello, Marinona, Pieve Saliceto, Reseghetta Inferiore, Santa Vittoria, Soliani, and Vecchia.
Gualtieri borders the following municipalities: Boretto, Cadelbosco di Sopra, Castelnovo di Sotto, Dosolo, Guastalla, Pomponesco.
