Hi Burbank and thanks for adding to this article! I actually prefer your recent edit moving the engine cycle data to a separate subsection much better than the (rather messy) standard jetspec template. [edit] LCA does not have horizontal tail???
LCA has a clipped delta wing airframe. Generally planes with delta wing do not have a horizontal tail, so such things do not need mention. even jane's has stupid people so plz use your common sense. ciao User:Kaushal mehta

[edit] Kaveri Marine Gas Turbine and expected engine specifications
[1] This Indian Ministry of Defence report says that a kaveri engine for ships has been tested and its use in ships as engine is being planned. Also the DRDO product webpage has the expected specifications for the engine. Can this material be put in a standard template?Kaushal mehta 10:43, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Despite the "Kaveri" name, the KMGT and the GTX-35VS are quite different propulsion systems. The former is marine gas turbine powerplant, while the latter is an aircraft turbofan engine. Basically, as far as powerplant systems go, the KMGT is to a ship's powerplant what the Kabini is to the GTX-35VS. The ship's turbine is used to drive the steam powerplant that actually propels the ship, and it does so in a "closed-loop" configuration. (Also, the KMGT is not the powerplant for Tejas-Navy, as is sometimes mistakenly reported by the Indian press.) It is more accurate to say that the KMGT is being developed based on the turbine engine design and development experience GTRE has obtained through the GTX-35VS and earlier programs. Certainly, many parts of the GTX-35VS can be used on the marine turbine, but many others will need to be modified in terms of materials, modifications for a closed-loop system, and different operating conditions (such as running hot for days and weeks, rather than hours, at a time). In any case, the KMGT should probably deserve an article of its own, with this particular article needs only a mention of the relationship and a link to the KMGT article.
- I looked around the WikiProject Ships page, but apparently they do not have a specification template for marine powerplants, and their infobox design does not go beyond simply listing the powerplant. You might post a question on that Wikiproject's talk page and ask for help to develop one (possibly based on that for WP:AIR). Simply using the aircraft spec table would not work, since a number of nautical powerplant specifications are different than the ones employed in the aerospace world.
