GTK Engines are the library files that provide the additional configuration and alignment needed for themes to work in GTK.

The known engine list is

  • libBluecurve
  • libCleanice
  • libClearlooks
  • libhcengine
  • libindustrial
  • liblighthouse
  • libmetal
  • libmgicchikn
  • libmist

[edit] GTK+ Themes.

These are the actual graphics of a theme. They contain a config file (gtk.rc) and all relevant graphics needed for the theme.

To install a GTK+ theme you need to both extract the theme to the GTK+ theme folder and install the GTK+ Engine.
