screenshot features the "trails" graphics feature, a form of image blurring. Image obatined by User:ZS (previously User:25), and resized from version with 1240x1024 screen resolution to one with only a 800x600 screen resolution. Note that the game does not feature anti-aliasing of sorts in game, as the current resized version seemingly depicts.
