[edit] Contesting speedy delete
Right in the admittedly short article there is a list of very big and notable companies, including Fortune 1000 and Fortune 500 companies, which are under contract with GSI to design, build, and run their websites. That alone should make it notable, but if you need more the full list is here. What's more, GSI is traded on NASDAQ with a market cap of over a billion dollars, and therefore certainly does not qualify for speedy deletion. The article is rather spare I'll admit, but I want to get out of here to catch On the Media this morning, and didn't have time to do a full article. --TexasDex 14:52, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- The company itself passes WP:N. Taking directly from WP:N "A notable topic has been the subject of at least one substantial or multiple non-trivial published works that are reliable and independent of the subject." It's been written up in Yahoo Business, DMNews, Money Central, Philadelphia Business Journal, and the eCommerce Times amongst others. Add some of these in and you have a nice stub instead of a speedy delete. There could be some haggling over the press release but since it's not released by GSI but instead the other company *shrug. I would put these into the article myself but I have a plane to catch in a bit. --ImmortalGoddezz 15:29, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Anyone else hate GSI?!
I am an employee of one of GSI's partners. Every challenge & headache I face at work can be directly traced back to them. Joining forces with GSI was by far the biggest mistake our company has ever made. When an irrate customer calls us, it is ALWAYS due to some bizarre thing GSI has done regarding their order.
I find it hard to believe that we're the only ones with this problem, I would love to hear from anyone else who is having issues with GSI. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.98.47.226 (talk) 16:52, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- As it says at the top of this talk page, this page is only for discussing improvements to the GSI Commerce article on Wikipedia. This is not a forum for general discussion about the article's subject; it is not a complaints department and it is certainly not a place for grievances any more than the George Bush talk page is.
- As for your complaints, they won't get resolved by posting them here. I work at GSI, so I probably can't say much except that industrial strength e-commerce is a seriously complicated engineering exercise, and we maintain huge amounts of code that keeps our webstore running. Issues should be resolved with the GSI contact for your company.---- TexasDex (talk) 17:52, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
