[edit] History
The G-Falcon is a support fighter developed and built by the Old United Nations Earth (UNE), designed for the Gundam-type mobile suits of the 7th Space War. When docked with a Gundam, it enhances its flight speed (or grants flight capability in the case of the GT-9600 Gundam Leopard) and increases its effective combat range. The G-Falcon also has a clamp that it can use to tow drifting mobile suits.
After the colony drop, one unit was salvaged and rebuilt by the rebel colonist group Satyricon. Piloted by Paula Cis, it helped foil the Space Revolutionary Army's Operation Daria by providing a diversion for the GX-9901-DX Gundam Double X's Twin Satellite Cannon. Later, the G-Falcon and Paula join the Freeden until the end of the series.
Even with a docked or towed Gundam as dead weight, the G-Falcon has exceptional performance, outrunning the Space Revolutionary Army's RMS-009 Septems and even SRA ace Lancerow Dowell's RMS-019R Crouda. The upgraded NRX-0015-HC Gundam Ashtaron Hermit Crab, however, could match its speed and maneuverability.
The G-Falcon is comprised of the forward cockpit section and the rear mobile armor section. When docked with the Double X, its reactor can directly power the Satellite Cannon, and also permits atmospheric re-entry. The G-Falcon's rear section can only dock with the GW-9800 Gundam Airmaster in mobile armor mode. Although Kid Salsamille heavily modified Witz's Airmaster and Roybea's Leopard, the docking hardpoints on both mobile suits were preserved. However, the GX-9900-DV Gundam X Divider can no longer dock with the G-Falcon.

[edit] Trivia
- In the HG 1/100 model kit of the G-Falcon Unit Double X (G-Falcon + Gundam Double X), there is no indication of the G-Falcon's model number (the front page of the manual says "Model Number: Unknown". Also, the HG 1/100 kits of the Gundam X, Gundam Airmaster and Gundam Leopard are not compatible with the G-Falcon kit, but the kits of Gundam Double-X, Gundam Airmaster Burst and Gundam Leopard Destroy are compatible with this kit.
- A testing type of the G-Falcon, the G-Falcon Delta, was introduced in Koichi Tokita's manga After War Gundam X Sidestory: Newtype Warrior Jamil Neate (機動新世紀ガンダムx外伝 ニュータイプ戦士ジャミル・ニート?).
