Grygov is a village in Olomouc Region ,about eight kilometres from Olomouc, the Czech Republic. It is located at around . The first written mention is from 1306. It is situated in Hornomoravský úval in Moravia. Grygov is on the river Morava, the longest river in the Olomouc region. Near Grygov is a food-plain forest. We can find one very old tree in this forest. It is an oak-tree called "The King" which is about 500 years old.
About 1,400 people live in Grygov, mostly in houses. There is a hill called "Horka" in the east at the village. Horka is 253 meters high above the sea-level and nearby there is a low hill Chrášť, 247 meters. The public transport in Grygov is provided by train and bus. Grygov won the competition for the Village of the year 1998 in the Olomouc region. Grygov is surrounded with fields, graints, corn and sunflower. Farming is very important source of work in the village.
