Grubby (windsurfing)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Grubby is a freestyle windsurfing move, where the sailor performs a sliding 360 degree downwind turn with the board and in the footstraps. Unlike the Spock (windsurfing), in a Grubby the sail is rotated with the board. Invented by Greg Alleway and named after his nickname.
The entire move is performed at planing speed on short boards and is therefore a "sliding" or "New School" freestyle manoeuvre.
