GRT- Lipase enzyme

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Grease Removal Technology (GRT) is a lipase enzyme that is used in industries that break down animal fats and oil residue. GRT is being used when there is an overturned oil tanker spill[1]. Sewage waste plants also incorporate this enzyme in order to function at a very high efficiency[2].

[edit] Septic systems

Septic system failures are increasing at a rate that is 10 times the historical average[citation needed] and are extremely expensive[citation needed]. Because petroleum is now used in everything from soaps and shampoos to tissue paper.[3], GRT can be incorporated into the tank to lessen the problems.[citation needed] Pumping will not eliminate the residue that is formed on the lateral lines by this petroleum[citation needed]. Home Depot is the largest retailer to carry GRT[citation needed]. Septic Savior is the largest wholesalers GRT.
