[edit] License tagging for Image:Wooworld.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Wooworld.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 05:07, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. You can ignore the preceding message, which is from an automated bot. I've added the necessary information.
- Thanks for uploading the cover for All the Woo in the World. I've added it to the article All the Woo in the World. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 04:41, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Godmoma
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Godmoma, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Godmoma. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 22:12, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hi again. I did a lot of work on the article, and I removed the "PROD" (proposed deletion) tag from the article. It still may be nominated for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, so please try to improve the article. In particular, try to add anything that shows that Godmoma meets any of the criteria in Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Criteria for musicians and ensembles.
- Also, if you know of any sources, please add them, particularly if they meet Wikipedia's guidelines for verifiable reliable sources. Sources don't have to be on-line; old magazine and newspaper articles are fine. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 23:33, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:TEXAS.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. [edit] Duplicate Image:This Boot Is Made For Fonk-N.jpg
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:This Boot Is Made For Fonk-N.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:This Boot Is Made For Fonk-N.jpg is a duplicate of an already existing article, category or image.

[edit] Your uploads
Good day. I see that you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. First off, thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, there are some guidelines that we need to follow with copyrighted images. Specifically, you need to add a source for the image (a link to a website will do), a copyright tag (there are some listed at WP:ICT), and a rationale explaining why we can use a copyrighted image (explained at WP:NFURG). I see that your images fail to include one of these. Please stop uploading images and address the concerns listed above. If you need assistance, you can ask at the help desk. If you do not fix these images, and you continue to make bad uploads, you will be blocked and your images will be deleted. Thanks for your contributions! --uǝʌǝsʎʇɹoɟʇs(st47) 23:44, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Kneedeepfunk.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Kneedeepfunk.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] Categories
Hi. Thank you for the great work you've been doing on all the P-Funk related articles in recent weeks. It's been incredible!
Please don't change the categories for Lifestyles Of The Roach And Famous and Federation Of Tackheads. Those albums were released by INCorporated Thang Band and Jimmy G and the Tackheads respectively, and belong in categories of albums by those artists. The only albums that should be in Category:P-Funk albums are those that were released under the names "P-Funk" or "P-Funk All-Stars".
You can see that Category:INCorporated Thang Band albums and Category:Jimmy G and the Tackheads albums are both sub-categories of Category:P-Funk albums, which is appropriate, as both groups were largely made up of P-Funk members. Likewise, Category:Brides of Funkenstein albums and Category:Parlet albums are also sub-categories of Category:P-Funk albums, because the performers in those groups were also largely P-Funk members. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs)

[edit] Bootsy: Pacesetters or Pacemakers
Hi. I'm under the impression that Bootsy's band was called Pacesetters, but somebody created The Pacemakers featuring Bootsy Collins based on Rolling Stone calling the band the Pacemakers.
I don't know if you have a copy of David Mills's P-Funk oral history, but on page 66 Bootsy says "We were a local band called Pacesetters".
