Growler Guncam is a video game recording tool that allows a user to record video and sound from the computer without additional hardware. Guncam can create video from what the user sees on his screen, both in games or on the computer desktop. This video can be exported to AVI files to make movies, exported to animated GIF files for webpages, or it can be simply used to improve game-play. Guncam can also capture individual screenshots as JPG images.
Guncam can record using a variety of video sizes, as well as different compression methods, giving it a unique ability to perform acceptable capture on a wide variety of systems.
Guncam also features a Video Editor that allows the user to select the portions of the captured film they want to save as AVI or animated GIF. This editor can also combine portions of multiple films. Once film is selected for export, the user can add effects to the film, such as black and white, hue, vignetting, and saturation.
Some new features include the ability to extract the sound from a video capture, and save it as a WAV file. Another feature is the 'Sig Maker', which makes it easy to create an animated-GIF signature picture for Web forums.
Third party support: Guncam is very popular in the War Rock and Soldier Front communities, and is the sponsor of SF Invite Soldier Front League
