Growing Up X is a 2002 book by Ilyasah Shabazz, a daughter of Malcolm X
In the book she talks about growing up as the daughter of an important civil rights leader. She also talks about growing up with her mother, Betty Shabazz, and sisters. She has often commented that she was nervous about releasing the book, because she did not want any expectations of her to be ruined.
