Grouse Mountain is located on the border of Kern County and Ventura County, though the peak resides in Kern County. It's located a few miles south southwest of the community of Pine Mountain Club, at an elevation of 8,582 ft (2,616 m). The mountain is located in the Los Padres National Forest, surrounded by the Chumash Wilderness.
