The Group 19 Rugby League competition is a Defunct Rugby League Competition which was run under the auspices of NSWCRL. It was based in the Northern New England area. It ran between 1964 & 1999. It was originally called the Group 5 Rugby League Premiership between 1964 & 1981 but that competition folded after 1981 due to their being a Lack of teams.
In 1980, a new competition formed in the same area as the Previous Group 5 Competition & took the Name Group 19 from the Canberra Competition and that competition became the no.1 competition in Northern New England. The Competition then ran for the next 18 Years & a few of the original Competition Clubs returned.[1]
