Gropparello is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Piacenza in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 130 km northwest of Bologna and about 25 km south of Piacenza. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,379 and an area of 56.3 km².[1]

The municipality of Gropparello contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Castellana, Groppovisdomo, Gusano, La Valle, Montechino, Obolo, Sariano, and Veggiola.

The territory of the municipality lies between 175 and 1099 metres above sea level. The altimetric span is thus 924 metres.

Gropparello borders the following municipalities: Bettola, Carpaneto Piacentino, Lugagnano Val d'Arda, Morfasso, Ponte dell'Olio, San Giorgio Piacentino.
