Großhesselohe Isartalbahnhof is a Munich S-Bahn railway station in Großhesselohe, a district of Pullach.
[edit] History
The Isartalbahnhof was once a station on the Isartalbahn, running from the now-disused München Isartalbahnhof (Munich Isar Valley) and München Süd (Munich South) railway stations along the river Isar to Bichl. The line was shut down on May 31, 1964 and on May 27, 1972 the station was reopened for service on the Munich S-Bahn. The station is called Isartalbahnhof to distinguish it from Großhesselohe Staatsbahnhof (State Railway station), located north of the current station on the line to Deisenhofen railway station. The Staatsbahnhof has been closed down since and is now home to a beer garden.
