History
THE BLIND SPOT ERA
Grizzly Madams goes as far back as the fall of 1995 or was it 1996. Crap...maybe it was 94...well I can't remeber...Wikipedia is never that accurate anyways. A young Caleb Moroz was approached by a Bassist named Becky Morris during a Grade 8 school band rehersal and was asked to play in a rock and roll band. Caleb agreed and they started rehersing with a rag-tag group of young rebelious teenagers. Jeremy Adams was one of these members. The un-originally named band "Blind Spot" was born playing school and local family functions. In 1997 a Zac Downes was recruited to play Aux. Percussion (A.K.A. Bongos and he became a Grizzly Madams memeber). In 1998 Adam "PONT" Pont was asked to join to play lead guitar because there was no one in the band who was talented enough to actually play a guitar solo. He also had cool hair at the time. Adam Pont's guitar playing was often said to sound harsh and lazy but it eventually became one of the main mighty driving forces behind Grizzly Madams sound. Jesse Fisher, Caleb's god brother, made guest vocal appearances singing songs like Secret Agent Man and Jimi Hendrix's Foxey Lady. Anyways, Blind Spot managed to record one almost full-length self-titled recording featuring only 7 tracks and it had some very minor air play on the 97.7 HTZ FM Music Notes at 6 radio program. By the year 2001 the band Blind Spot disbanded in their last year of attending highschool at Beamsville District Secondary School.
GRIZZLY MADAMS WERE BORN
One year later after the fall of "Blind Spot" Jeremy, PONT, and Caleb teamed up with their long time friend Jesse Fisher to form another band. They were fueled by the music of Frank Zappa and there love for the ridiculous. Jesse Fisher, who lived 4 hours up in Lindsay Ontario, was friends with a highschool friend and a great bassist named Hewan Wooley. Hewan Wooley was perfect for the job and excepted the position immediatly. Hewan Wooley was known has The Madams Shirtless Diva and he help redefine the term "Rock out with ones cock out!". Grizzly Madams started learning covers such as Frank Zappa, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and various other classic rock bands. The Madams usually tried to steer away from the more known cover songs and played songs that the band thought weren't songs that where the main stream.
