[edit] Cost & Quality

Grizzly is considered a value price tobacco, usually costing within $2 to $3 much cheaper than higher priced brands like Skoal. It also has a higher nicotine content compared to most brands.

Since its introduction as a value brand it has struggled with the reputation as being a cheap lower quality alternative. However in recent years it has gained a large fan following and since then it has caused other rival brands to start making a lower cost alternative to the higher priced dips such as US Smokeless (makers of Copenhagen and Skoal).

Grizzly is a high-strength dip, and in 2004 was the 2nd best selling dip in the United States. The most common misconception is that Grizzly contains fiberglass to cause abrasion to the lip, increasing nicotine intake. This is false, because adding fiberglass would cause irritation and swelling, actually decreasing the amount of nicotine intake to the bloodsteam.[1]

The makers of Grizzly provide perks, when signed up for their mailing list, such as dollar-off coupons and gifts like calendars, drink coozies, keychains, and metal can lids.

[edit] Flavors

It is available in Long Cut, Fine Cut and Pouches. The Long Cut comes in Wintergreen, Mint, Straight, and Natural. Fine Cut comes in Natural and Wintergreen. Grizzly has also released a very fine cut dip sold as "Grizzly Snuff", with a taste similar to the Natural Flavor. Pouches are available in Wintergreen.Grizzly has announced on its website that they will be releasing snuff pouches soon.[2]
