Grizedale

Grizedale is a hamlet situated in the Lake District, England in the middle of the Grizedale Forest, located north of Satterthwaite and south of Hawkshead. It is part of the civil parish of Satterthwaite.

It used to be the home of Grizedale Arts, a contemporary arts residency and commissioning agency. There is also a large visitor's centre (currently being rebuilt) and extensive mountain bike trails within the forest. Grizedale also hosts a high-ropes course called Go Ape which is popular with the hundreds of tourists who visit Grizedale each year.
