Griphognathus ("hook-jaw") is an extinct genus of lungfish from the Devonian period. It was about 60 cm (2 ft) long.
Griphognathus was a specialized lungfish with an elongated snout and a lower jaw and pallet lined with glaze-covered teeth. Its skin was covered by overlapping scales, and it had an asymmetrical tail.
