Grinton is a village very close to Reeth and Fremington in the Yorkshire Dales, in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. It is 11 miles west of Richmond. St Andrews (the local church) was the main church for the whole of upper Swaledale, with many burials coming from miles away. Fragments of the old Norman church are still there but the church now is mainly a 15th century rebuild.
