Grimma is a town in the Free State of Saxony, Germany on the left bank of the Mulde, 25 km southeast of Leipzig. Founded in c. 1170, it is the capital of the Muldentalkreis district.

Grimma has been the site of many historic structures, including a town hall dating from 1442, a famous school (the Furstenschule) erected on the site of a former Augustinian monastery in 1550, and a school of brewing.
