Grijpskerke

Grijpskerke (51°32′N, 3°34′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Veere, and lies about 6 km northwest of Middelburg.

Grijpskerke was a separate municipality until 1966. Before 1816, it was called "Grijpskerke en Poppendamme".[1]

In 2001, the town of Grijpskerke had 1021 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.27 km², and contained 390 residences.[2] The statistical area "Grijpskerke", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1370.[3]
