Grigory Irmovich Novak (Russian: Григорий Ирмович Новак, March 5, 1919 – July 10, 1980) is a former Russian weightlifter, World champion and Olympic medalist, who competed for the Soviet Union.
He was born in Chernobyl, Ukrainian SSR.
Novak became World champion in in 1946, and received a silver medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki.[1]
