Griffin Inn

The Griffin Inn located in Fletching, East Sussex is one of the first, if not the first gastropubs in the country; The cooking of posh food started there in the late 1970s.
In the centre of Fletching, this 16th Century inn has been described by William Leith of The Daily Telegraph as “…perfect: quiet, but not too quiet; posh, but not too posh; impressive without being flash.” It has been in the Pullan family since 1975 and has built up a national reputation, boasting a listing in the Top Ten Pubs of the British Isles.
