[edit] About Konkokyo

About Konkokyo... I did see a Konkokyo church in Japan, but only from the outside. I didn't go inside. My interest in Konkokyo is largely due to y interest in all things Japanese. My educated guess is that the service will comparable much like of Shinto. So, I'm sorry I couldn't help you more. But I'm open to talking with you more about Japan if you like.

Kind Regards, --Beoran 18:43, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Attacks in the article Julia Petruska}

Please do not make personal attacks as you did at Julia Petruska. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. OK. I didn't delete it, because I'm not an admin, only admins can delete pages, so you wouldn't have been able to delete it, either. Corvus cornix 21:35, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

I am not a member of KonkoKyo, I did go to Japn in the spring 2007. Let's plan a live chat sometime...sent me your best times.--King of Nepal 14:35, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] UWU

Me and User: Greenwood1010 formed the Union of Wikipedia Users; join the evolution talk on Thursday. Learn more at User: U.W.U. Thank you!--King of Nepal 16:06, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hey man!

I wanna jouin the U.W.U.! Sounds cool-uwumembers:Gp75motorsports(talk-contribs) Think how cool that would look on a userpage!--Gp75motorsports 11:01, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] UWU, WIKIPEDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!

UWU was such a good idea, I hate Wikipedia's laws...it make me so mad!!! What should are plan be? I guess we should just close down the User: U.W.U. page? There is nothing we can do I guess!!!--King of Nepal 13:33, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ohh...

That got screwed up during the move. I'll rename you Chairman, as you are. Don't worry, it's done.--Gp75motorsports 13:54, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Oh, here's a link: The Wikipedia Users' Alliance At least, that's it for now. It'll change after I propose it to WikiProjects. Best,--Gp75motorsports 13:59, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Yes

Yes, I would love to be Vice-Chairman! Anything you need done, consider it done. Thanks!--Gp75motorsports 14:02, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Okay, here's an idea...

After you read the above message, I've got an idea.

My idea is to propose the WUA to WikiProjects. I'm sure other Wikipedia users will adore it. After that, we'll need to sign on a template creator-that is, once we get a full-on membership page going-then after we get a Supported Articles sestion in the project page, as well as an official newsletter, we'll be set to stop vandalism. Best, --Gp75motorsports 14:07, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 14:15, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Delete that account

Having an account name like User:UWU will get us all banned.--Gp75motorsports 14:16, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

P.S. To sign your name, simply click the Image:Wikisigbutton.png button. That's the easiest way.--Gp75motorsports 14:23, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Okay, maybe I overstated the "Banned" bit, but they still won't like us. When you sign in, go to Create new username, then change your username. Now it will only show the U.W.U. tag when someone checks for previous usernames, which basically only the most adept can do. Best,--Gp75motorsports 14:32, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Yes, yes I did. But I was planning on using the WUA page as a temporary page just in case someone from Wiki wanted to check it out, so don't delete it.--Gp75motorsports 14:35, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Okay, cool.

We can do that. But as far as the "Judicial" thing goes, we'll have to use the Blocking policy as well as the Three Revert Rule, and remember, Innocent until proven guilty. And as for running it like a company, that's a really good idea. It allows us to make sure the ideas fit the overall concept of the WUA so we can remain pure. I suggest we also do the article cleanup, too, since many vandals are one-timers and don't care if their stuff gets reverted. Sound cool?--Gp75motorsports 15:01, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I should probably point out

WP:DEMOCRACY & WP:BURO to you both. It appears you are trying to set up a group (UWU) with formal rules, hierarchy, and membership. I can tell you that such a group will most likely find itself shut down at some point. every attempt to do this sort of thing, regardless of the purpose of the group, has at some point found itself shut down by the community at large (see WP:AMA for example). Just a fair notice.--Isotope23 talk 15:19, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I've started a meeting room

I've started a meeting room for the WUA. It will operate like an Articles for Deletion debate. There is also a deadline to reach a consensus, as Werdnabot will automatically archive the debate after seven days. Our first meeting will be on Monday.--Gp75motorsports 18:44, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Suggestion

Since you are fairly new here, you might find WP:ADOPT to be a very useful resource for you.--Isotope23 talk 18:47, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I have...

...proposed it to WikiProjects and created a member page. Go to WP:COUNCIL/P to vote for it. It's at the top. Also a friend of mine suggested that we drop the ranking system, as that could make us sound like a standalone project and therefore get the project page deleted per CANVASS.--Gp75motorsports 10:49, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New userbox!

Try this on for size:

User:Gp75motorsports/Userboxes/Wikipedia Users' Alliance It's created by posting {{User:Gp75motorsports/Userboxes/Wikipedia Users' Alliance}} on your page.--Gp75motorsports 11:51, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Calm down, man!

I'll find a way to make it all legal. Just don't worry. If I have to, I'll propose a subsidization to the Counter Vandalism Unit. That may be the only way out, but since we're working on the same side, I don't think we'll encounter much trouble. Best,--Gp75motorsports 12:35, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] So...

...let's not make it like the AMA. And as far as WP:BURO goes, we should delete the ranking sysytem, per above. That should make it more legal. If you've got any other links, send them to me immediately. --Gp75motorsports 12:40, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] No.

Buro says we shouldn't have any ranks. We should probably just acknowledge the founders and leave it at that.--Gp75motorsports 12:42, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

P.S. The meeting is at 7:00 A.M. 2:35 p.m. on Monday.

[edit] Reply

Didn't you see the big banner on my talkpage with an eye? I am all knowing... all seeing...

OK, kidding aside, I noticed it because I had a conversation with Gp75motorsports (talk · contribs) a couple of days ago on something unrelated, was going through his contribution log, and saw the edits to the UWU page. When you looking at links, pay particular attention to WP:AMA. When it got shut down, an editor didn't want to let it go and was eventually banned over it. I'd hate to see the same thing happen to you guys. Looking at the WP:COUNCIL/P page, I think the comment that is already there will probably be indicative of what you will see; that it is redundant with existing projects and overly bureaucratic. You should try and join the already existing WP:RCP, WP:NPP, WP:CVU if you want to fight vandalism, or WP:EA & WP:ADOPT if you are interested in helping other editors. Just a suggestion (which you are certainly under no obligation to listen to if you don't want to).--Isotope23 talk 12:44, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

By the way, I added a welcome template at the top of your page. Most editors get them shortly after registering... but apparently you didn't.--Isotope23 talk 12:56, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome!

Again, welcome! --Isotope23 talk 12:56, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Also...

...I've proposed the subsidization to CVU. We should be on the straight-and-narrow after I delete the ranks.--Gp75motorsports 14:02, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Okay, that's cool.

The subsidization seems to be going well, even if it's getting a little confusing. Don't worry, we'll come out of this sunny-side-up. Best, --Gp75motorsports 14:21, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

P.S. Tell the King I said welcome back.

[edit] Major Announcement

“As Chairman of the Wikipedia Users Alliance I herby abolish the offices of Chairman and Vice-Chairman in an effort to ensure that WUA is in complete compliance with all of Wikipedia’s laws and regulations and that the group will be open to all Wikipedians without them having to follow or report to a Chairman, President or anything of that nature. This action shall take place at 10:35 today, October 19, 2007. This is my last act as Chairman and while it does sadden me, I know that it is what’s best for the WUA. Thank you and may the heavenly spirits bless the success of the Wikipedia Users Alliance. Sincerely, His Surpreme Excellency Founder and Chairman of the Wikipedia Users Alliance,--King of Nepal" 14:29, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New member!

The Alliance has a new member-Goodshoped35110s. Just thought you should know. Best, --Gp75motorsports 16:34, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Margaret M. Petruska

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Margaret M. Petruska, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.heinz.org/home/about_staff_bio.aspx?StaffID=13. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 23:54, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Hi from Greenwood

It's coming great! You should check out what I've done to the page! Best, --Gp75motorsports 00:07, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Awesome!

No, thank you for helping to start the project. And yes, I saw the new box on my page. BTW, did you hear the news abour Goodshoped wanting to join? I thought it was cool to have a new member, don't you? Best, --Gp75motorsports 00:20, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

P.S. Yes, it's 10 A.M. on Monday now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gp75motorsports (talkcontribs) 00:22, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Article deleted

(Duplicated from my talk page) It's done. For future use, there's a template you can place on a page to request its deletion when you're the only substantial contributor to an article: {{db-author}}. Blank the page and place that at the top, and it will notify the speedy deletion administrators that you request that the page be deleted. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 00:52, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] And the debate...

I need some backup on this. Here's the link: User talk:Gp75motorsports/Wikipedia Users' Alliance/CVU-WUA debate. Best and thanks, --Gp75motorsports 01:10, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Actually if you look closer, you'll see Goodshoped and I arguing for the WUA, so it's not a dudd. Now go in there and tell 'em why we stand out! --Gp75motorsports 01:41, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks, man!

And long live the WUA! --Gp75motorsports 01:50, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wow

[edit] AHH, DAMN!

WHY DID THIS SHIT JUST HAVE TO HAPPEN?!?!?!?! Okay, calm down. I'll argue for it, as always. All you have to do is pout an apostrophe in front of your vote, then your vote (in bold), and finally your reason. Here's an example:

Now you get it. --Gp75motorsports 03:07, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

The link's in the box. Just click on the words "This article's entry"-that's the link. Long live the WUA, --Gp75motorsports 03:15, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Categories

Hi. :) With regards to your edit to Category:Wikipedians in the Wikipedia Neutrality Project, I just wanted to let you know that you don't add your name manually to a category list. Since you've put the category on your userpage, your name has been added automatically. One of the cool things Wikipedia does. I also thought while I was here I would point you to the guidelines on edit summaries. It is recommended that Wikipedia editors always fill them in. I would sometimes forget to do so myself until I went under "my preferences" at the top and had Wikipedia prompt me. This is under the 6th tab, "editing". It's the bottom box. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 00:50, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] No thinking required!

Let's do it! First a name...how about accinsure.org? Think about it.--Gp75motorsports 16:12, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Happy whatever! --Gp75motorsports 14:11, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Responded

I've responded to the tilebox interview. Best (okay, I'll quit saying that now), --Gp75motorsports 14:58, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Accuracy on the Internet Alliance

If you want to pursue this on your own time elsewhere on the internet, that is fine, but having a tilebox here for a group that doesn't exist and is not sanctioned on Wikipedia is going to be a problem. I strongly suggest you remove these from your userpage as well as any other pages you've added this to before someone else removes it.--Isotope23 talk 15:31, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Because it essentially gives the impressions that this is some sort of Wikipedia related group... and it would seem to expressly go against WP:UP#NOT:
Advertising or promotion of a business or non-Wikipedia-related organization (such as purely commercial sites or referral links)
You are certainly welcome to group up in an external group, but you can't use Wikipedia to coordinate your activities or promote your group. I think that the tilebox if left up is going to eventually cause trouble for you.--Isotope23 talk 18:15, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
