The Hidden Hollow Green Energy Project

"Where Do We Begin?"
Call me Dan for short, I want to give you a personal starter tip, and then tell you about the most interesting and yet inexpensive free energy technology there is. Which is called "passive solar space heating panels." Which comes in "plans for do it yourself" custom home made varieties of which many look nice, as well as, manufactured product versions.
My tip for you is to start buying energy saving low wattage light bulbs, They do cost more than the regular bulbs. But these light bulbs, out last the regular bulbs and use as much as 1/3 the energy. Hence you will come out on top in the long run with a lower electricity bill. We recently bought some at the Dollar Mania store for a dollar each. Hence, once demand for these increases, the more the manufactures compete, and the cheaper and more common place they will become.
It's the principle of supply and demand, as well as market economics that we must use in the days to come. To make such technologies more common place and cheaper.
They come in 12 volt D.C. versions as well. as 120 volt A.C. versions.
I did have a concern once that these bulbs generated unwanted RF energy that could interfere with my shortwave radios, and other communications radios as well as my electrical lab and electronic test equipment. This was a concern of allot of us radio techs back in the day that these bulbs first became possible. However I have found out that the current ones, do not do this. And so, I am satisfied with the state of the art in these light bulbs. I use them and like their looks and performance.
You may also use those new LED array light bulbs, for the most efficient energy signature, and for long life. Not to mention you can use them for your work shop spot lights to see your work bench. And they last thousands of hours. Maybe even a life time. So these light bulbs are a good buy.

The Free Energy Technology Starting Point:
This is your green energy alternative point of view.
The place to start at in terms of free energy is to look at the construction and use of a "passive solar space heating panel."
These are nice looking solar panels that you can construct and install yourself. Recently I was reading that you can construct these on average for $2 a square foot per panel. Of course I think that the cost now is more like $3 but some of you can make them for less if you already have some of the materials on hand. And the materials you need will all come from your home hardware/home construction supply store.
Technically even if the solar heating panel were to cost as much as $150 to construct, it is still worth it for two reasons. 1. The solar panel will add free heat energy into your home. 2. The solar panel can last the life time of your home. And it should be added that the addition of passive solar panels upgrades the home and increases it's market value. Not to mention the ultimate which is that the added heat energy cuts down on your energy consumption and thus reduces your heating bill. And in a power outage it is still possible to heat your house if the sky will cooperate with you.
There are two kinds of solar panels that you can home construct. The passive solar space heating panel, and the solar water heating panel. Yes, you can make your own solar water heating panels. However you will need a special pump and a special water storage tank for the solar water heating system. Thus the solar water heating system will cost you more to construct and install. Yet, it might not cost you as much as you would think.
Unless you are close up to these two kinds of solar panels, you can not tell them apart.
Solar space heating panels have been around since the mid 1980's and plans have been featured in such places as Mother Earth News Magazine. And it is very surprising to note that such work shop, television broadcast, and home improvement broadcast, have not had anyone to feature how to build and install these devises.
Actually they have been around awhile. And have saved people lots of money. Well those people who were aware of them. It is thus somewhat of a disappointment and disservice to the people that no one has ever thought to make the public more aware of the existence of such simple free energy devices.
You may find more information about passive solar space heating panels on our page that list numerous Internet articles with graphics and plans. It is advisable to look over all of the links. And not just see the home made devices but, the numbers of people who are aware of them and have posted information on them. And to note also that the ideas and concepts are very advanced at this point.
"Taking It All To The Next Level."
The next level of energy savings comes from two new sorts of water heaters. The tankless, and heat on demand types. Both are tankless and both heat on demand. However the newer water heater types are very small in size as compared to the original tankless types. And hence can be located under a sink in the bathroom, or within a panel in a wall. As well as on the wall.
The concept of these heaters is that they heat the water only when there is a facet demand for the hot water. Hence the water is heated as the water starts to flow. This then means that the lack of a water tank standing around heating water all day long is removed from the energy scenario. And this removes that amount of gas or electrical energy from use, that would be used to keep standing water hot all of the time, regardless of whether it is used or not on a daily basis.
Instantly heating only, the actual amount of water that you use is much more efficient. And we can shower without fear of loosing hot water, even after a load of cloths washing was done. Since the tankless water heater will heat the water as it flows, for as long as we demand it too. The supply of hot water does not run out.
Here we see a place where we have a considerable savings on our water heating bill. Since energy efficiency has been dramatically improved with the tankless, or heat on demand, water heaters.
In the winter however, we are also using the sun to give us some heat on those nice days we do have. And even when the day is partly cloudy, the passive solar space heater panel will provide some heat.
And yet, we can still take our energy efficiency systems to another level, where we add in some solar heated water and make use of the free energy from the sun to heat water. And couple this with our heat on demand technology.
In this later scenario, we can cut down on the amount of electricity used to heat our water in the tankless water heaters, by adding some preheated (solar heated) water to the hot water line. And in an electrical power outage, we can still have hot water. You see, the tankless water heater has a user selectable thermostat to adjust the temperature of the hot water facet.
