[edit] The NIV Adventure Bible
The article The NIV Adventure Bible has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 23:43, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- A tag has been placed on The NIV Adventure Bible, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how The NIV Adventure Bible is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:The NIV Adventure Bible saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. Cquan (talk, AMA Desk) 23:56, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with The NIV Adventure Bible. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you.

- On your talk page, you don't have a final warning yet. In fact, you have only hit a level 1 warning out of 4 levels. I would suggest not removing tags, especially speedy deletion tage, but to add the tag {{hangon}} on the page, which will contest the speedy deletion. If you have any more problems, please contact me! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kntrabssi (talk • contribs)
[edit] The NIV Adventure Bible, continued
OK, your first version of the article started like this: "What Makes This Bible So Great". That conflicts with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. The second and third versions were about 5 words long -- the last one said "This is a good Bible." An article needs to describe the subject and explain why it's notable. See, for example, the entries New Revised Standard Version and The Living Bible. Take a look at those articles (and, in general, other Wikipedia articles) before trying to create your own. Thanks, NawlinWiki 18:04, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
