Regarding the Ventures-related info in the article FUZZ,

the Guitar Buyer article appeared on pp 94-95 in April 2007, not 2008, and was written by Matt Frost. The actual title was First Effects:Caught By the Fuzz.

the other reference ('2,000 Pound Bee' historically noteworthy as first single recording to use fuzz-box guitar) was in the 'VH-1 Music First Rock Stars Encyclopedia' by Dafydd Rees and Luke Crampton, p1041, published by DK Press. It is now issued under another name, but identical content.
